We have have digitalized and restored several music catalogs from all over the world, consisting of hundreds of old recordings in their original tapes or first pressed vinyl. Our work is based on the rescue, digitization, and restoration of audio pieces lost in time.
What Can Restoration Achieve?
Analog recordings can be severely affected by the passing of time, if they’re not well cared we can risk to lost the original sound made in tape. In Magnetica Music Lab we can make this vintage sounds come back to life, as if they were recorded yesterday. Using a variety of processes, from digitalizaing the sound with top notch equipments, to several well rounded software that can clean, and restore almost any damaged tape.

What’s Done During The Process?
- Ultrasonic cleaning of the vinyl with Degritter machine: It gets rid of micro impurities that can not be reachable with a normal brush.
- Vinyl digitalization: Using one of the best turntables on the market, the Technics SL-1200GEG-S, with Audiotechnica ART9XA cartridge and silver cables.
- Click and pop removal: The process of digitally restoring the audio begin, using Izotope restoration plug ins
- Hum and hiss removal
- Crackle and buzz removal
- Background noise clean-up
- Unwanted noise removal
- Distorted audio clean-up
- Declipping
- Unwanted reverb and echo clean-up
- The process ends with the files been exported for any use, such as another vinyl press, compact disc press, digital listening, etc.
